Relay For Life Team Captains recruit team members, set fundraising goals, and organize fundraising activities. Host a get-together shortly following the event.Instead, let it be the start of your 3-Day legacy. Don’t let the Closing Ceremony be a final goodbye. Keep your team intact and inspired by following up with them once the event is over. If you notice a walker struggling with fundraising or training, reach out and encourage them to remain engaged in the 3-Day community! You can always reach out to your coaches for help as well! You can recruit more team members, plan fundraising events, coordinate matching outfits for the 3-Day event or just get to know each other better. Hold team meetings to gather everyone together.Invite your team members to upcoming 3-Day events.Check in once a month with all team members (via email or phone).Make a welcome call or send an email to all new team members.Visit your Participant Center at regularly and pay special attention to any emails you get from us. Publicizing your team’s training walks will help you meet other 3-Day walkers and teams-and possibly recruit new members for your team. Lead training walks to help your team and other walkers in your area prepare for the event.You can even Facebook Live the team meeting! Or meet up at a restaurant or the home of someone on the team. Check with your local library, café or park to see if they have a place your team could meet. ![]() The more engaged your team is, the higher the likelihood each teammate will see their commitment through. ![]() Keep your webpage updated throughout the season to share your team’s recruitment, training and fundraising accomplishments. Upload a team photo and write a short story about your team for future visitors. Set up and maintain your team’s webpage on.Help us eradicate breast cancer by raising as much money as you collectively can. Each team member must raise their inividual fundraising requirement, but we encourage you to aim above and beyond the individual fundraising minimum. Many team captains send out regular emails, host team get-togethers, plan team fundraising activities, lead training walks and more.
